It is the last via ferrata inaugurated in September 2010 and it is an interesting alternative to the popular Via delle Bocchette. The route starts from “Busa degli Sfulmini” and ends close to the Bocca degli Armi, where it joins the “Bocchette Centrali” and “Bocchette Alte”.
Like all other via ferrata of the area, this trail crosses a majestic landscape of the Dolomites. The trail crosses all the most emblematic peaks of the Brenta Group, among which the slim Campanil Basso, a really astonishing monolith in Dolomia rock.
The via ferrata is dedicated to the memory of Felice Spellini - who used to be an Alpine Guide and manager of the Refuge Croz dell’Altissimo. It suits fit and experienced hikers, capable to use the specific equipment of via ferrata.
The equipped trail is short and it is of moderate/difficult degree of difficulty. The altitude difference is 250 m and it is marked by quite a difficult transversal stretch, and a series of long, vertical and tiring stairs, one in particular, which are pretty challenging for the hikers’ arms.
This route can be travelled both from East and from West of the Brenta. However, the most logic access point is Molveno/Andalo, along the path 319/313 - Busa degli Sfulmini.
